Tenth anniversary of the Vale Centre soccer

THE Vale Centre 5-a-side football competition is fast approaching and spaces are now filing up for this extremely popular tournament.

Any teams looking to show their silky skills on Saturday, July 3 at 10am had better get there details in soon. Due to the high demand of teams wishing to enter, we will be working on a first come first served basis.

The tournament is restricted to Junior Players only. Each team will consist of five players and two subs. The teams will be split into eight groups of four with the winners of each group going through into the quarter finals. The winner of each group game will receive three points, one point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.

Cups and trophies will include the Winners cup and 500 sponsored by Nicholl Fuel Oils and Evergreen Lawns, runners up 250 sponsored by M & D Services. Also up for grabs will be the Player of the Tournament Trophy, Patsy Crossan Fair Play Cup and Top Goal Scorer Trophy.

The day is now the biggest event in the Vale Centre calendar and its getting bigger and better every year. There will be stiff competition on the day. All players must bring ID on the day.
