McCall: We'll bounce back

BALLYMONEY United manager Joe McCall is confident his players will bounce back from Saturday's derby defeat when they travel to Ballinamallard.

McCall said his players were hurt following the 1-0 reverse but said they were keen to get back to winning ways this weekend.

While Saturday’s match was somewhat of a scrappy affair, McCall said he had no complaints regarding the scoreline.

“To be fair to them they deserved to win it,” he told Times Sport.

“We didn’t come out for the second half.

“I was disappointed with the mistake but it was a good finish from Parkhill.

“On the day there wasn’t much between the two sides.

“We now face a big game away from home.

“Just because we lost a local derby doesn’t make us a bad team.

“To be fair when you look at the league table getting beat on Saturday didn’t harm us at all. In that since it wasn’t a bad week as such.

“We will be looking to bounce back this week.

“All the players were hurt on Saturday and I expect a response.

“With the squad we have and the teams against us I’m pleased with the season. It has been something of a transitional season for us.”
