More concentrated pressure from the Seconds lad to their second goal. Good work down the left and a good final pass saw Stirling score his second of the day with some ease.

Two minutes later, the 32nd, Glenn Whitten did the spade work and when the ball was bouncing about the Thirds circle, Marty Bothwell scored a rare goal for him taking the Seconds into a 3-0 lead at the interval.

The second half was similar to the opening 35 minutes with the Seconds always the better team while the Thirds struggled to penetrate their defence where Paul Fleming was dominant.

The Seconds increased their lead to 4-0 when Philip Stirling completed his hat trick; it came from another penalty corner which was again switched around the circle completely baffling the Thirds defenders in the process.
