The home side went a goal ahead as early as the 32nd minute through Andy Williamson but could not turn their superiority into goals and had to be content with the single goal advantage at the half time stage.

The second half saw Garvey play some great hockey scoring six goals; Andy Williamson completed his hat trick after 43 minutes and further goals from Sean Murray, Greg Thompson and a brace of penalty corners from Timmy Cockram gave Garvey their faultless 7-0 victory and leaves them in pole position to grab the Premier League title.

Garvey now turn their attention to their quarter final Irish Senior Cup game against Glenanne at Comber Road on Saturday. This could prove a difficult match against old rivals in the cup. Although not the force of the past Garvey can be sure of a tight encounter with set pieces being of paramount importance.
