Larne prove too strong for Chimney Corner in Steel Cup
The Antrim men went down 3-0 at home to Championship One side Larne, one of the favourites to win the competition.
Meanwhile, although the intermediate division of the Ballymena & Provincial League has already kicked off, the league’s junior divisions get underway this weekend, meaning there is action across all four divisions.

STEEL & SONS CUP, ROUND TWO
Chimney Corner 0, Larne 3: Larne had too much experience for the young Corner team and went in leading by two goals to nil at half-time.
Full marks go to Corner who gave it their all, despite conceding a third goal in the second half.
Other result: Wellington Rec 3, Dunloy 2.
JUNIOR DIVISION THREE
Carnlough Swifts 2, Antrim Rovers Swifts 5: Carnlough got off to a good start taking the lead on the10th minute and held this lead until Gary Stavely scored for Antrim on the 28th minute. Carnlough went in front for a second time on the 32nd minute then with half-time approaching Paul Clarke equalised for Antrim on the 39th minute. Antrim went in front after Jamie Jackson scored on the 55th minute then went two clear after Andrew Mellon scored on the 60th minute. Carnlough tried hard to get back into the game then in the 84th minute Jonny Rogers sealed the win for Antrim when he scored goal number five.
