In reply the visitors made a bright start through the Bell brothers but after their dismissal Lewis, Kenny and Jennings all fell cheaply to leave them 89 for 6. By this stage Yogesh had already reached his fifty and was playing shots all around the ground. The little Indian found a reliable ally in Dean Ferris who rotated the strike well and shared in a match winning partnership of 130 before being out for 16.

His 2nd 50 came in only 18 balls and he seen his side home with 4 overs to spare and 3 wickets in hand. Many who saw his performance said it was the best innings they had ever witnessed.

On Sunday at home to Woodvale, things didn’t go as well for the Queensway men as they slumped to a 130 run defeat. The visitors 254 for 6 proved more than twice what the Derriaghy men could total. Takawale was again top scorer but this time he only made 32 while Andy Kenny hit 23 as the home side innings closed on 124 in 34 overs. The club thanks Gordon Haslett for sponsoring the match ball.
