Carrick to face Downpatrick in Ulster Shield final
Carrrickfergus Cricket Club will face Downpatrick in the final of the Ulster Shield following their victory over Glendermott on Sunday.
Carrick go into the showpiece match (date and venue to be confirmed) hoping to add another piece of silverware to the collection following last month’s NCU Twenty20 Trophy win.
And there could yet be another final for the Middle Road men. Iain Parkhill’s side were due to travel to Dundrum (LCU) in the semi-final of the RSA National Cup but Saturday’s incessant rainfall meant the match was postponed. If the elements play ball, the tie willtake place this weekend.
