BPFA capture Glass Cup to bring curtain down on indoor season

Broughshane Playing Fields Association ended the local indoor bowling season on a winning note by winning the Glass Charity Cup.

They beat Churches League section winners Cuningham Memorial as District League teams continued their dominance of the competition.

There was only one shot between the sides at half-time but BPFA turned the screw after the interval, eventually winning by 61 shots to 39.

However, the real beneficiary was the chosen charity, Parkinsons UK, who received a cheque for £1,600 from tournament organiser, David Morrison.
