Ballyweaney bowling awards
The club compete in the Charity League, and enjoyed a season in which the players displayed great spirit and enthusiasm. Awards were handed out and plaudits given to the recipients.
Those present had an enjoyable occasion, and in the close-knit community there was a real family feel to the proceedings.

The enduring appeal of bowls to people of all ages was evident at the event, as young and old rubbed shoulders.
The Times was pleased to be there to record the event.
At the dinner, Mr James Munnis spoke of the sadness at losing two key members during the season – Uel and May Gage – who had been loyal stalwarts for years.
A minute’s silence was observed by all present as a mark of respect.
