The prank, played on the mother of Team Aspie founder Richard Collings, saw Tracy handcuffed and put into the back of a police car.

But she was laughing.

PSNI Cookstown said on its Facebook page on Tuesday: “Tonight Police attended THE HUB, Burn Road, Cookstown and engaged with a great bunch of young people from TEAM ASPIE.

“Unfortunately, despite several requests and warnings police were unable to stop this lady from talking. Even when handcuffed and arrested!”

We were amused.

On a more serious note the officers had been invited along spend time with Team Aspie.

While there, they gave a talk on internet safety and answered questions from the young people and parents.

They also brought along a number of police vehicles for Team Aspie to check out.

“Great meeting such an awesome group of young people and we hope to stay in touch. Thanks guys,” the police said.
