Watch: CCTV emerges after Coalisland man arrested on suspicion of attacking Willie Frazer

CCTV footage of an alleged attack on victims campaigner Willie Frazer has emerged after a 60-year-old Coalisland man was arrested on suspicion of common assault and threats to kill.

PSNI Armagh received a report of the assault of a 54-year-old man in the Tandragee Road, Markethill at around 7pm last night [Sunday 28 June].

A Coalisland resident was arrested at around midnight on Sunday, bus has since been released on police bail.

CCTV footage of the attack has been posted online.

Chief Inspector Gillian West said: “Police investigating the assault arrested a 60-year-old man in the Dungannon area, just after midnight, on suspicion of common assault and threats to kill.

“He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

“Investigations are continuing and I would appeal to anyone with information to contact police in Armagh on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
