Warm welcome to Carrick for District Governor

The work of Carrickfergus Rotary Club has been commended by District Governor Declan Tyner.

Mr Tyner and his wife Pat visited the Carrick club where they were warmly welcomed by Brenda Houston, president and her colleagues.

The District Governor, a member of the Rotary Club of Cork Bishopstown, demonstrated his familiarity with the history of Carrickfergus and his knowledge of the activities of the club.

He praised the membership for their engagement with local and international projects, highlighting among many activities, their long standing support for Carrickfergus Senior Gateway, Rotary Foundation, polio eradication and the expansion of opportunities for youth activities in the area.
