UFU members to quiz minister about National Park

LOCAL members of the Ulster Farmers’ Union will meet with Northern Ireland Environment Minister, Alex Attwood later this week,

The meeting will give members the opportunity to raise the issue of National Park designation in Northern Ireland.

UFU President Harry Sinclair said; “This meeting is the perfect opportunity for UFU members to speak directly with the Environment Minister about the Designation of National Parks in Northern Ireland.

“The Minister will outline his vision for the implementation of National Parks in Northern Ireland and our members will have the chance to raise any queries that they may have and also to put their views on this important issue directly to the Minister.”

The UFU would like to encourage all members to attend this important meeting especially those who may be directly affected by a National Park designation in their area. The meeting will take place on Monday the 20th August 2012 at 8pm in the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown.
