U-turn ban at Trooperslane
A ban on traffic making a u-turn movement at the Trooperslane junction in Carrick has been proposed by Transport NI.
In a letter sent to Carrickfergus Borough Council last month, the transport authority said: “We propose to ban the u-turn movement for Carrickfergus-bound traffic at the Trooperslane junction.
“This will reduce the possibility of vehicles coming into contact with pedestrians using the crossing facilities along the southbound lane, travelling towards Belfast.”
