Tributes to Rathlin's oldest resident

Mr McQuilkin was the island’s oldest resident and passed away on Monday morning.

Mr Storey said: “Loughie was obviously known to everyone on Rathlin and was a character also familiar to many visitors.

“It was always a pleasure to have a chat with him when visiting the Island. His passing will be very keenly felt by all the island’s residents and I would pass my sympathies in particular to his family at this time of such sorrow.”
