Young woman cut from car after Bellaghy crash

A 21-year-old woman had to be cut from her vehicle by firefighters using hydraulic equipment following a crash in Bellaghy in the early hours of Sunday.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said the one vehicle road traffic collision, which took place on the Deerpark Road, was reported to them just before 3am on March, 26.

A statement said: "NIFRS responded to a single car RTC at Deer Park Road, Bellaghy, Magherafelt.

"Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release a 21-year-old woman from the vehicle.

"She was conveyed to hospital by ambulance," they added.

"Fire crews from Magherafelt station attended the incident."
