Tour of Shankill graveyard
The next meeting of the
Community Outreach Group takes place at 10am on Saturday, October 11, for a Tour
of Shankill Graveyard led
by Mr Jim Conway who will give a short history of the
interesting and unusual lives of some of the people who rest in this historic
graveyard.
A drama presentation will also be given by members of the Lough Neagh Writers Group.
Participants are requested to assemble at the entrance to the graveyard, Dean’s Walk (off Charles St) no later than 10am, so do come along, bring a friend and discover how the history of a community may be read through its gravestones.
