Three men assisting police after Claudy explosion

AS part of the ongoing security operations in the Claudy area, police in Londonderry are investigating an explosion in the Ervey Road during the early hours of this morning, September 14.

The explosion caused damage to the front door of a house. No one was present in the house at the time.

Three males, two of them aged 36 and one aged 28 years old, have subsequently been arrested in the Londonderry area this morning, September 14, and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are urging people living in the Claudy, Eglinton and Waterside areas to be extremely vigilant. Should you observe any unusual or suspicious activity or come across anything that looks out of place or suspicious, do not touch or approach it but contact police immediately.
