‘Those who stole wedding ring from Magherafelt pensioner should be jailed for 15 years’
DUP Mid Ulster MLA, Ian McCrea has condemned those responsible for the recent robbery of an 83 year old woman on Queen’s Avenue, Magherafelt at the weekend.
“I was appalled to hear that an 83 year old woman was targeted by four men who entered her home around 7.30pm and not only stole items from the house, they held her down to remove her wedding ring from her finger,” said Mr McCrea.
“This can only be described as a disgusting act of cowardice and those who were responsible should be thrown in jail for at least 15 years.
“I want to appeal to anyone who saw anything no matter how small, to contact the police immediately to help them catch these cowards and bring them to justice.”
