Thieves and vandals target hospital grounds

A SPATE of burglary and vandalism resulted in the theft of 4 laptops, a flatscreen TV and a mobile phone being stolen and four large windows being smashed in the grounds of Altnagelvin over the weekend.

Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary at office premises in the grounds of Altnagelvin Hospital sometime during Friday night/early hours of Saturday (1st/2nd).

Four laptops, a 20" Phillips flatscreen television and a mobile phone were stolen and damage caused internally.

Meanwhile four large windows were damaged elsewhere in the grounds of the hospital sometime between 6.30pm on the Friday and 7.30am the following day.
