Taxi driver banned

Carlisle Wilson (52), of Cambourne Park, was given a one year ban and fined 250.

He was detected by police in the Coleraine area and officers used flashing lights and a siren to get him to stop.

He had an alcohol/breath reading of 99 with the limit being 35.

In court the defendant represented himself and said he would like to apply for the drink-driving course which if completed means his ban will be cut by three months.
