Samaritans offer24 hour support

A spokesperson for the group contacted the ‘MAIL’ to say: “With suicide tragically striking the local area again recently the Samaritans would like to put out a reminder to say they are available around the clock to provide emotional
support.

“Rather than acting on suicidal thoughts while undergoing emotional distress, anger or feelings of rejection or despair we encourage people to share their feelings, discuss options and reflect.

“Suicide will not solve the problem, it will only prevent it ever getting better.”

Samaritans offer a non-judgemental, confidential listening service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, either by telephone on 3833 3555, 08457 909090 or by emailing [email protected] or in person at the branch in Thomas Street, Portadown.
