26 % caesarean rate
The Western Trust has a lower than average rate of caesarean sections at 26 per cent, it’s been revealed.
A Northern Ireland Audit Office (NIAO) report found that the rate varied between 25.5 per cent and 33.8 per cent across all health trusts.
The Northern Ireland average is 29.8 per cent.
