Policing and justice warning

DUP MP Gregory Campbell has warned that a deal on policing and justice should not be taken for granted.

As talks between the DUP and Sinn Fin on the issue continue at Stormont, intense speculation is growing about the imminent closure of a deal.

While Mr Campbell agrees that progress has been made on the issue he warned that it should not be taken for granted that both parties are on the cusp of a deal.

He said that unionists needed to see evidence of progress on the issues preventing “community confidence.”
