Police probe ‘suspicious incident’ involving young girls

Shortly before 10:25pm, it was reported that two females believed to be 15 years old were approached by a white van with a blue stripe running from the middle of the bonnet across the roof.

Two men are believed to have got out of the vehicle and pursued the girls towards local sports pitches in the area.

The girls are believed to have signalled a car down and taken home. It is not believed there was any attempt to communicate between the two males and the two females.

The two men are believed to be in their mid 20’s, with the driver believed to be of stocky build and curley hair. The other man is believed to have been wearing slim blue jeans and black coat. Enquiries are continuing.
