Perry appointed Larne’s resident magistrate

Larne has a new resident magistrate for the first time in almost 20 years.

District Judge Des Perry has taken over the reins from District Judge Robert Alcorn, who stepped down from the role when Larne Courthouse shut it doors earlier this year. Mr Alcorn had been appointed district judge of Larne and Antrim in 1994.

The final sitting of Larne Courthouse took place on Thursday, March 28. All court business has since been transferred to Ballymena Magistrates Court.
