Mid and East Antrim Agewell Partnership is teaming up with groups to provide a programme of ‘Doorstep Activities’.

And the partnership, which represents and supports older people in the borough, would like to hear from groups interested in organising, for example, bingo, dance and exercise.

In a social media post, MEAAP asked: “Would your group like to partner with MEEAP to provide a range of doorstep activities in your community? If so, contact MEEAP on 028 2565 8604.”

The programme, the partnership added, will be delivered in keeping with Public Health Agency guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We would ask that you choose an area in your community where people can safely remain in the boundaries of their home for the entirety of the session maintaining a two-metre distance between households.”

Doorstep bingo is already proving popular in the borough with a session at Glynn, the latest success.
