However, in the 30 years I have lived on the Plantation Road no person has been injured and indeed only one minor collision has occurred.
In addition this road is well known to have the lowest speeding figures of any road with access towards Lisburn City Centre. These facts can easily be substantiated by contacting the local Police for confirmation, of how rarely they are required if ever to issue any tickets for speeding on this thoroughfare.

Hide AdGiven the above does anybody genuinely believe it is acceptable to lumber the ratepayer with the costs that would be incurred and to destroy the current tranquillity of a rural road with 11 ramps in the space of 800 metres?
I, like many others, will be objecting to these proposals on the grounds of realism.
