Motorbiking shop stocks Dragon’s Den products

BALLYMONEY bike shop, Renegade is selling Mini Kiddimoto wooden balance bikes, which appeared on the popular T.V. show Dragons Den.

On Monday night BBC2 viewers saw Simon Booth, Managing Director of Kiddimoto, the motorcycle-themed balance bike company, and his three-year-old daughter Ruby present the motorbikes pitch to the five Dragons in a bid to seal further investment.

However the Castlecroft store has had the bikes on sale for a few weeks and has already sold three to Santa Claus.

Proprietor of the shop, David Christie offers a hero range of model motorbikes for children aged 2-6 years which includes everything from Joey Dunlop replica bikes to Evil Ken evil and Custom Chopper bikes.

The middie model motorbikes range in price from £60- £120. And Mr Christie says that each of the Joey Dunlop replica motorbikes have been endorsed by Joey’s family, and have received the royalty.

David explained: “After much research, it is clear that children who have used these particular motorbikes, can learn to ride a standard bicycle two years earlier than those children who learn to ride a bike using stabilisers.

“Since these models went on sale in Renegade, I have received a great response. I have already sold three bikes to Santa Claus and after they have appeared in The Den I’m sure a lot more will be sold.”

Ride It Right’s message for other vehicle drivers is to, “Use your head -not just your eyes.”
