Man rescued after cliff fall near Ballycastle

A MAN was taken to hospital after falling from a popular cliff edge on the north Antrim coast at the weekend.

It is understood the 62-year-old man fell over 20 feet from Fair Head near Ballycastle.

The incident happened at around 4pm on Saturday.

It is believed the victim sustained facial injuries and a suspected broken rib and was taken to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine.

He was taken to hospital by the Irish Coastguard helicopter.
