Man arrested in Buncrana after car stolen in Cookstown creeper burglary

Police are investigating the report of a creeper burglary after a car was stolen following a home invasion in the Cookstown area on Sunday.

Const. Kearney said: “A white Peugeot 208 was taken after a handbag and keys were taken as a result of a burglary in the Westland Road area sometime between 2.30am and 9.30am on January 24.

“Police are currently working with their counterparts in An Gardai Siochana following the recovery of items in the Buncrana area and the arrest of a 24-year-old man in the Buncrana area for related offences.”

The PSNI is calling for anyone who may have witnessed something suspicious in the area to call them on 101.
