Longbow lessons at castle

Visitors to Carrickfergus Castle this Sunday will have an opportunity to see the famous longbow in action and have a go themselves.

“Visitors will see demonstrations showcasing the strength and skill of the longbow archer. There will also be displays of equipment including fletched arrows, wooden yew bows and other aspects of the archer’s stock in trade,” said Paul Logue from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.

The event takes place at the castle from 10.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
