Speaking to the ‘MAIL’ this week Cllr Carla Lockhart has revealed that she is personally working on three areas within the town that are causing residents a lot of difficulty.

These areas include The Hollows, Pollock Mews and Charles Baron. Cllr Lockhart said, “This is a plague on our residents living in these developments that have been unfinished.

“I have started on a crusade to try and assist residents within these three developments and am working with Road Service who are in a position to help force developers to complete the works that are normally linked to sewers, street lighting and the road surface.

“It is unfair and indeed unacceptable for people to have purchased their homes under the presumption that the area is going to be completed and for a developer not to honour their commitment.

“There needs to be more of a co-ordinated approach to dealing with these situations and I, for one, am going to champion this within Council and the Assembly.

“I would encourage residents living in these areas to get in touch with me and together we will force a change in the legislation and help force some movement on these sites.”
