LATEST: Two people cut free from vehicle and taken to hospital after crash in Tobermore

Two people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Tobermore on Monday.

Ambulance crews and fire officers were deployed to the scene of the single vehicle crash on the Maghera Road.

A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) said they received a call at 1:28pm.

“One Fire Appliance from Maghera Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Magherafelt Fire Station were deployed to the scene.

“Hydraulic cutting equipment was used during the incident to free one male and one female from the vehicle.

“Both have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to their injuries.”
