Kelly helps raise £12,000 ‘bail’ for Prince’s Trust

They who celebrated their release after collectively raising an impressive £12,000 for the youth charity which supports local disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track.

Forced to languish in the gallows of Spirit, a sail training schooner operated by The Prince’s Trust, the captains of industry were taking part in the charity’s Boss In The Brig initiative, which is now in its second year.

Kelly, along with Noel Brady (Consult Nb1 Ltd), Stephen Cruise (Ulster Bank), Tim Bonar (CoCo Restaurant), Colly Graham (Salesxcellence), Declan Flynn (Lisney), Francis Gilmore (Lucas Love Recruitment) and Stephen Houston (Sophia Search Ltd) found themselves all at sea, making frantic calls to friends, colleagues and business associates to raise the necessary “bail” to secure their release.

Kelly said: “I would like to thank all my family, friends and clients for their support. The Prince’s trust is a fantastic charity. In the last 12 months the organisation has supported in excess of 2,400 young people in Northern Ireland, through their team programme, business start-ups and schools on the xl programme.

“As a young entrepreneur, I was delighted to be given the opportunity to assist the Prince’s Trust in raising much need funds to support the growth and development of young people in Northern Ireland.”

In the end, Kelly raised an impressive £630.

“This is yet another fantastic achievement by private sector supporters of The Prince’s Trust,” said Ian Jeffers, director with the charity in Northern Ireland.

“The funds generated will go a long way in our work to help support disadvantaged young people into a positive outcome through training, education and employment,” he added.
