Items seized in raid on house

Police raided a property in Coronation Street, Portadown, on Wednesday after a tip-off that drugs were on the premises.

According to UUP councillor Julie Flaherty, some items were taken away for further analysis.

The operation in the area is part of a more pro-active approach to ongoing issues of antisocial behaviour and other problems in the Annagh area.

Said Cllr Flaherty, “Doug Beattie MLA and I met with council officials, the chief executive and representatives from Regenerate on Monday afternoon to help formulate a plan to move forward in this area of town and work will be ongoing - rather than relying on the ‘sticking plaster’ approach at present.”
