Portstewart Golf Club is playing a waiting game to see if it will host next year's Irish Open

The European Tour announced this morning (Monday) that the Lough Erne Resort will not host the championships in 2017.

The Tour is keen to stage the event on a links course and Portstewart is being considered as a possible alternative.
