In Bloom competition results
THE winners and runners-up of the Carrickfergus In Bloom Children's Painting and Poetry Competitions have been unveiled, with a local councillor describing the response from young people as "extraordinary".
DUP Alderman May Beattie said: “There were hundreds of entries to judge. I am thrilled about the quality and diversity of the entrants. It has been an opportunity for me to see the wealth and variety of artistic talent in our community.“

Winner: Laura Murdy; runner-up: Lauren Finlay, Jamie Blakely
Children’s Painting Competition (10 and under)
Winner: Grainne White; runner-up: Nicole Alderdice, Shannon Vermanen
Children’s Poetry Competition
Winner: Nathan Toland; runner-up: Kirsty Wilson, Emily Turner
