At the Village Centre in Hillsborough, from 7.30pm on Wednesday 18 February, Michael will be giving two talks on ‘The Sustainable Apiary’ and ‘Queen Rearing in the Sustainable Apiary’

Michael started beekeeping in 1974, and in the next 20 years he built up his honey farm into nearly a thousand colonies.

While beekeepers here have only a fraction of the colonies Michael manages, the techniques and principles he has developed can be scaled down, and everyone will benefit from the methods he has developed and pick up many tips, which will help them in their own beekeeping.

The first talk begins at 7:30pm, with refreshments available during the break, the second talk commencing around 8:45pm.
