Health fair in Mourneview Community Centre

CRAIGAVON Borough Council are looking after your ‘Mind, Body and Soul’ with a health fair at Mourneview Community Centre on Saturday, November 24.

The health fair, from 11am to 3pm, is free and aims to promote health and well being for all.

Representatives from Lurgan Neighbourhood Renewal Health and Well Being Team, the Southern Health Trust, Age Concern, Cosy Homes and Splash Sure Start will be on hand with advice on various health issues.

Have an MOT check on your body composition analysis, weight, body mass index (BMI), BMFR metabolic rate, body fat mass, lung age etc. Get helpful advice on healthy eating or how to stop smoking.

The Big Red Cancer Bus will be making a stop at the centre providing mammograms on site and Gordon’s Chemist will be giving demonstrations on makeup and nails.

Check out the craft exhibition, including straw crafts, and also try out one of the taster workshops in Laughter and Yoga, Age on stage (movement for senior citizens), jewellery or handbag making. There should be something to tempt every mind, body and soul!
