The ‘Charity Chic’ pop-up event will take place at the Community Centre, Balmoral Avenue on February 10.

A range of designer, new and pre-loved clothes and accessories will be available during the sale, which aims to raise funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI.

The charity, which has an east Antrim branch, funds research into the causes and cures of leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma in Northern Ireland.

It needs to raise at least £500k every year to continue with this life saving research.

Organised by east Antrim branch treasurer, Shirley Sinclair, Charity Chic is the latest in a series of fundraisers for the organisation.

In 2013, Shirley and her daughter Ashleigh launched pop-up shop Peggy’s Closet on Victoria Avenue, raising £1250 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI in the process.

The store was set up to honour the memory of Shirley’s mother Margaret ‘Peggy’ McCullough, who passed away earlier that year.

A dedicated follower of fashion, Peggy had supported Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI for nearly 30 years.

More recently, the east Antrim branch hosted a ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ event in the beautiful surroundings of Magheramorne House.

The Charity Chic event will begin at 8pm.

Entry costs £5 and includes a glass of wine.

Regarding donations of clothing or accessories, Shirley indicated she would be“happy to take anything as long as it is in good condition or new.”

She added: “I have one problem and that is rails. If any shops can lend me a few for a couple of days I would be grateful.”
