Exciting summer ahead for cancer charity

THIS summer promises to be a very busy but exciting summer for the Aileen McCann Foundation, your local cancer charity!

Below are upcoming events, all of which require your support!

Alltex Recyclers: We are having a collection at the beginning of July and hope everyone can support us.

Most of us have clothes, etc, round the house that are never looked at - well we are collecting them!

A lift has been arranged for Friday 2 July morning at a house in Rasharkin, anyone wishing to donate any clothes shoes or handbags please place in a black bag, and if possible contact Odhran at the telephone number below to enquire where to leave bags or if collection points are near your area.

Aileen's Squad Youth Project. Project open for under 25's. All young people affected in some way by cancer are catered for!

We have been funded by The Big Deal to take young people away on trips and visits to cinema, go-karting and a residential.

Anyone interested contact us ASAP, deadline for return of consent forms is Friday 18 June. We will then have a meeting on the Wednesday 23 June In Rasharkin Community Centre at 8pm for all young people involved and their parents/guardians!

Ladies 5 aside Football Competition: Thursday 12 August in the grounds of Rasharkin Community Centre.

Team register 6pm to 6.45pm. For immediate kick off at 7pm! Entrance per team 5. Hopefully other events like BBQ, Bouncy Castle, etc!

Weekly Bingo continues as per normal in Kilrea Town Hall every Friday night at 8.30pm. Books only 5 each!

Annual Catch Up- Exciting reform and renewal of our charity, we hope to attract new membership, volunteers and provide a fantastic enjoyable change to the usual AGM line up!

Wednesday 1 September - Raharkin Community Centre at 8pm! More details to follow.
