Dog fouling ‘in the bag’ at ecos park
SDLP Councillor Declan O’Loan has reported success in his efforts to reduce dog fouling in the ecos park through the introduction of bag dispensers.
He said Council staff are noticing a decrease in the amount of dog fouling and that the dispensers are being heavily used.
“In addition to the extra cleaning regime which has been brought in, and further efforts which will happen involving speaking to park users, I think that we have got a handle on this problem now. I am happy to hear reports from walkers in the park,” said Cllr O’Loan.
