Deaths in community
The death took place peacefully at her home on October 23 of Thelma Haire, Lower Toberhewny Lane, Lurgan.
She was the wife of Robbie and mother of David and Peter. Regretted by daughter-in-law Cynthia, grandchildren Toby and Mia and the entire family circle.

Ernest Herron
Ernest Herron died peacefully at hospital on October 22. Late of Laurelhill House Residential Home, Lisburn, he was formerly of Beechwood Crescent, Moira.
He was the husband of Sheila, father of Alison, Lance and Shaun, father-in-law of Mike, Angela and Julie, and grandfather to eight grandchildren.
His funeral was on Monday to St John’s Parish Church followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

She was the cousin of Margaret.
Her funeral was last Thursday to Queen Street Methodist Church with interment in Lurgan Cemetery.
Derek George Bateman
The death took place peacefully at hospital on October 25 of Derek George Bateman, husband of Gladys, Main Street, Moira.
He was the elder son of the late Frederick William and Maud Muriel Bateman, late of the Forest, Moira.

The death took place peacefully at Mahon Hall Nursing Home of Mary Jane Black, wife of the late George, late of Ardboe Drive, Lurgan.
She was the mother of Maureen and Barry.
Remembered by her daughter Maureen and son-in-law Jack, son Barry and daughter-in-law Carol, grandsons Peter and wife Christine and Timothy and wife Leanne and great grandchildren Matthew and Caleb.

The death took place peacefully at Aughnacloy House on October 27 of Rachel Topping, wife of the late Norman, formerly of Coronation Place, Gibson’s Hill, Lurgan.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Atkinson and aunt of Philomena, Diane, Jeanette and David. Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Peter’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

The death took place peacefully on October 27 of Margaret (Peggy) Halforty, nee McStay, wife of Kevin, formerly of Manor Park, Lurgan.
