PSNI investigating burglary ‘at the home of an older person’ in Newtownabbey

Police have launched an appeal for information following a burglary at the home of an older person in the Serpentine Road area of Newtownabbey on Tuesday, November 10.

Detailing the incident, Detective Sergeant Natalie Moore said: “It was reported that at some point between 3.30pm and 6.30pm, whilst the occupant was out, the property was ransacked before items including watches were removed from it.

“This has obviously been very distressing for the victim and I want to encourage everyone to report suspicious activity to us, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

“Please also keep a look out for any elderly or vulnerable neighbours, and check on them regularly.”
