Police investigate Portstewart burglary

Police in Coleraine are appealing for information following the report of a burglary of a house in the Convention Avenue area of Portstewart.

Constable Danny Doncom said: “Police received a report on Saturday, August 23 that the property had been broken into some time over the past month. The property was vandalised and a copper hot water tank was stolen.

“Police would ask anyone who may have noticed anyone activing suspiciously at this property or who has any information to contact them at Coleraine on the non emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
