Limavady PSNI seize £2,500 worth of cannabis

Police in Limavady say they have found £2,500 worth of cannabis in a car at Scroggy Road.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: “A man and a woman were arrested after police found £2,500 worth of herbal cannabis in a car at Scroggy Road, Limavady, on Saturday evening. They were later released pending further enquiries. The detection was made by Crime Team officers.”

Chief Inspector Alan Hutton, the Area Commander, said it underlined a commitment to tackling drugs issues in the borough.

“This is the latest in a series of successes over recent months. Tackling the trade in illegal drugs is a priority for us, and for many people in our community,” he said.
