Hoax bomb is condemned
Those responsible for the hoax bomb alert in Lurgan last Friday have been described as ‘mindless morons’ by Craigavon Deputy Mayor Colin McCusker.
There was major traffic disruption in the New Line area close to the Council recycling centre with the Tandragee Road from Drumbeg Roundabout to Union Street closed as well as the entrance to the Taghnevan Estate.
Cllr McCusker said: “For anyone to place any sort of device, hoax or not, at a public amenity site on a busy road during rush hour, is absolutely disgraceful.
Ulster Unionist Council Candidate Aaron Carson also condemned it saying: “Attacking a busy arterial route that many people use to travel to their place of work is a disgrace.”
