The Community Safety Warden Scheme will help to address anti-social behaviour and crime across the borough by having an on-street presence, patrolling areas to deter and address issues as they arise.

This scheme is just one of many measures outlined in the Antrim and Newtownabbey PCSP Strategic Plan 2019-2022 which aims to ‘Improve community safety by tackling actual and perceived crime and anti-social behaviour’.

Cllr Paul Dunlop, Chairman of the PCSP said: “It’s important that both our businesses and residents feel that Antrim and Newtownabbey is a safe place to live and work.

“This Community Safety Warden Scheme will give us a presence on the ground tackling and gaining an understanding of the concerns of our residents.

“I welcome the support for this scheme and look forward to working with the new contractor.”
