A female child also received a cut to her left knee from flying glass from the TV. There was also redness to the injured party’s face.
When Lewsley was interviewed he said: “F--k’s sake, I wouldn’t do that on my own daughter.”
He said he pushed the injured party in self defence and the TV fell against the wall and smashed.

She added that her client agreed that what happened should never have happened. He accepted he did cause injury but would not intentionally hurt his child.
District Judge, Mr Alan White, said he had no time for domestic violence which was “a curse in this country” but on balance he felt a more constructive approach could be taken.
A condition of the probation order is that Lewsley attend the integrated domestic abuse programme.
Mr White also ordered Lewsley to pay £10 compensation for the damage to the phone and £190 for the damage to the television.
